Dear Families,

Welcome to the First United Methodist Church Day School of Florence, Alabama. Choosing a preschool or childcare center for your child is one of the most important decisions you will make. We are both honored and blessed you have chosen our program for your most precious blessings, your child/children.

Here at FUMC Day School, we recognize parents as their child’s first and most important teachers, and we are here to partner with you. We will support your child/children as they grow and develop socially, emotionally, academically, and spiritually and will guide them on their early childhood education journey.

Adjusting to a childcare setting is a big change for your child and for you. The period of adjustment will vary depending on your child’s age and prior experiences. Our administrators and teachers will work with you to make this transition as smooth as possible. They are available to answer any questions and to make suggestions to ease the transition for your family. Your children will be in the care of highly trained and dedicated staff every day, and the Day School will become their home away from home.
